But there is nothing as rewarding as taking a class in person, from an experienced instructor you interact with, and fellow innovators you collaborate with.

Research shows that the average job posting on job boards, corporate websites and social media sites has 20 requirements that job seekers have to match before they apply. For example, if a requirement is one word (i.e. marketing) then job seekers still have to guess 20 words and enter them into the keyword field to find job postings where they match the requirements. Only those job postings with the right level of matching will lead to actual interviews.

Mounting frustration among job seekers experiencing a lack of response to applications has led SkillPROOF to develop an online job search solution that addresses the keyword matching problem. This solution allows job seekers to easily find job postings where they match the job requirements and helps them optimize a resume in a way that leads to more interviews.

Job seekers are invited to join the focus group to learn and try this new solution.

Instructor: Mr. Henning Seip is President and Co-founder of SkillPROOF Inc. Mr. Seip developed SkillPROOF Inc. responding to a need for better tools and information about local, national and global job markets and skills needed by employers. He is a hands-on expert in natural language processing (NLP), unstructured information analysis and big data acquisition. He is the principal developer of KRAZOOM (www.krazoom.com), an advanced job matching system with over 200,000 daily job postings.

No matter what your background, or where you are in your career, INNOVATION ED will spark innovative thinking, introduce you to a vibrant community of innovative professionals, and give you skills you can use the next day.

We know there are a ton of great resources and content online. It’s easy to watch a TED Talk by an inspiring entrepreneur, or sign up for an EdEx class (we love them both). But there is nothing as rewarding as taking a class in person, from an experienced instructor you interact with, and fellow innovators you collaborate with.

Five Writing Tips That Can Double Your Salary http://five-writing-tips-to-double-salary-rss.eventbrite.com When:
Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM (EST)

Where:
Stamford Innovation Center
175 Atlantic St
Stamford, CT 06901

Hosted By:
Innovation Ed @ Stamford Innovation Center

No matter what your background, or where you are in your career, INNOVATION ED will spark innovative thinking, introduce you to a vibrant community of innovative professionals, and give you skills you can use the next day.

We know there are a ton of great resources and content online. It’s easy to watch a TED Talk by an inspiring entrepreneur, or sign up for an EdEx class (we love them both). But there is nothing as rewarding as taking a class in person, from an experienced instructor you interact with, and fellow innovators you collaborate with.

Clarity and focus really matter. These five writing tips will help you communicate in a powerful and effective manner. The online versions of these tips have been viewed more than 350,000 times, and this session will allow your small group to work directly with the author, Bruce Kasanoff.

Instructor:  Bruce  Kasanoff is a highly entrepreneurial communicator, social media pro and marketer. He has over 70,000 followers on LinkedIn, where he writes about innovation and careers. On Slideshare, his presentations have many times been the most popular presentation of the week. He calls himself an Opportunity Shaper, which means he helps entrepreneurs refine their ideas... making them clear, effective and repeatable. Bruce is co-author (with Michael Hinshaw) of Smart Customers, Stupid Companies; the book shows how entrepreneurs can profit from disruptive innovation by dramatically improving the customer experience.
